A unique event for watchmaking enthusiasts

Every two years, La Chaux-de-Fonds and Le Locle, the cradles of Swiss watchmaking, host the Biennale du Patrimoine Horloger. This immersive event offers visitors an exceptional opportunity to discover the world of watchmaking in all its facets : guided tours of workshops, conferences, exhibitions, and meetings with artisans and experts who share their know-how in an inspiring setting.

An experience for all lovers of mechanics and craftsmanship

The Biennale is aimed at both watch enthusiasts and the curious. During this event, you can explore venues usually closed to the public and admire the behind-the-scenes work of prestigious brands and artisan watchmaking workshops. Between heritage and modernity, the event also offers activities and exhibitions that tell the story of the evolution of the sector and the precision required to create these exceptional objects.

The Watchmaking Heritage Biennale: a dive into time and expertise, where each movement comes to life.

The Biennale, an international showcase of watchmaking excellence

Since its inception, spurred on by the inclusion of Le Locle and La Chaux-de-Fonds as UNESCO World Heritage sites, the biennial has won the public's hearts. In ten years, it has become a highly anticipated event for both watchmaking enthusiasts and the curious of all ages.

For one weekend, major manufacturers, independent workshops, subcontractors, designers, museums, and cultural institutions open their doors to share their expertise and introduce visitors to the fascinating world of watchmaking. A unique opportunity to step behind the clock!

After being guest of honor in 2021, Saint-Imier joined the adventure permanently in 2024, alongside Le Locle and La Chaux-de-Fonds.
